Every blueberry has tiny seeds inside. In botany, a "true berry" is a fleshy or pulpy indehiscent fruit in which the entire ovary wall ripens into a relatively soft pericarp, and the seeds are embedded in the common flesh of the ovary.
The seeds are contained right within the fruit. They are tiny, soft, and completely edible. Seeds have an ornamented episperm, and a dark brown color when ripen. There is difference in size among mature seeds, varying from 0.49 to 1.02 mm long, and 0.44 to 0.61 mm wide.
These tiny seeds can range in number from between 10-20 seeds per fruit depending on if they are highbush or lowbush. Highbush blueberries are typically larger and will have around twenty seeds, whereas lowbush blueberries are smaller and will contain a number of seeds closer to ten.
Blueberry seeds can be extracted by three methods:
*Blender
*Food grinder
*Mash the berries
